Charles Roy Bradshaw, age 72

Charles Roy Bradshaw, age 72 of Cross Hill, SC and a former resident of Rutherford County passed away Friday, October 2, 2015.

He was born January 9, 1943 in Cherokee County, SC and was a son of the late Lester and Lillie Sparks Bradshaw. Charles worked for Duke Power Company where he retired in Substations. He was a lifelong Baptist and he had a great love for fishing, auction sales and his chickens. His brothers, A.C. Bradshaw, John D. Bradshaw, and Grover Bradshaw as well as his sisters, Inez Gibson and Margaret Patterson preceded him in death.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-one years, Phyllis Hayes Bradshaw, two sons, Bryan Bradshaw of Cliffside and Scott Bradshaw of Bostic, a daughter, Gail Bradshaw of Cross Hill, SC, a brother, Donnie Bradshaw of Spartanburg. There are five grandchildren and one great-grandchild as well as a close family friend, John Whiteside of Bostic.

Funeral services were held in The Padgett and King Chapel with Reverend Sam Henderson officiating. Interment was private for the family. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
