Charles Russell Greene, Sr., age 63

Charles Russell Greene, Sr., age 63, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013.

Charles was born December 19, 1949 in Gaston County, NC to the late William Russell Greene and Virginia Caldwell Greene.  He worked in construction as an iron worker most of his life.  He enjoyed fishing, raising animals and helping people. 

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Christine Padgett.

Survivors include one daughter, Melisa Greene Johnson; three sons, Randy Charles Greene, Charles Greene II, Jonathon Greene and wife, Rebecca all of Forest City; one sister, Patsy Greene Self and husband, Leonard of Boiling Springs, NC; three brothers, Preston Greene and wife, Mary, Roy Allen Greene and Ronnie Lee Greene all of Ellenboro.  He is also survived by six grandchildren,  and two great grandchildren.

      A time of remembrance is planned for a later date. 

     In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1251 US Highway 221A, Forest City, NC  28043 to help defray cremation expenses.
