Charles Wayne Bailey age 67

Charles Wayne Bailey age 67 of Ellenboro passed away Friday, November 8, 2019.

Born April 22, 1952 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Charles Alfred Bailey and Margaret Mozelle Melton Bailey.

He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School and attended Isothermal Community College and had worked as the Food Service Manager for the North Carolina Department of Corrections-Spindale Unit.

Wayne was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, loved to farm and enjoyed reading.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Byars Bailey; a son, Steven Wayne Bailey and wife Catie of Raleigh; a daughter, Stephanie Bailey Cole and husband, Joey of Ellenboro; a sister, Carole Bailey McDaniel and husband, Norman of Ellenboro; three grandchildren; a niece, Misti McDaniel of Chile and nephew, Mason McDaniel of Raleigh.

Funeral services were held at Victory Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Church Cemetery with Honors rendered by the North Carolina Department of Corrections.
