Chris Wease, age 36

Chris Wease, age 36, of the Chase Community, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016.

Born on January 16, 1980 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son to Mike and Carolyn Wease of the Chase Community and the late Libby Ezell Wease. Chris is a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1998 and a member of Grace Chapel of Forest City. He worked for Duke Power and for Watts Regulator Company for several years. He enjoyed cars, drawing and listening to music. Chris loved the Lord and his faithful testimony touched many lives.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Alicia Summers of Mooresboro; step-mother, Teresa Wease of Spartanburg; one son, Kaidan Wease; grandmother, Rueleen Wease of Henrietta; two sisters, Kim Mode and husband, Raymond of Forest City and Tori Radford and husband, Terry of Sandy Mush and one brother, John Wease and wife, Erin of Spartanburg; three step-sisters, Christy Simmons and husband, Darnell of Mooresboro, Becky Hodge of Bostic and Melissa Shiflet of Shelby.

Funeral services were conducted at Grace Chapel in Forest City with Reverend Ricky Poteat officiating.

Memorial donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
