Cindy Donald Melton, age 57

Cindy Donald Melton, age 57, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017.

Born December 1, 1959 in Spartanburg, SC, she grew up at the Thornwell Home for Children in Clinton, SC and graduated from Thornwell High School, class of 1978. She was a homemaker who loved her family and friends passionately. Her desire to help others in their time of need translated into being a dedicated member of the local Moose Lodge #2422. Through the lodge she was involved with raising funds to help children and those needing assistance. Cindy had a big heart of love for everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Chris Melton; two daughters, Kim Melton Robbins and husband, Joe of Charlotte and Christy Ledbetter and husband, Josh of Forest City; two grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Teresa "Tea" Donald Madden and husband, David of Greenville, SC, two brothers, Dale Donald of Laurens, SC and Jeff Floyd and wife, Penny of Spartanburg; one brother-in-law, Gene Melton of Ellenboro; niece, Abigayle Madden and nephew, Reese Madden as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and her many Thornwell brothers and sisters.

The memorial service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Butler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectively requests that memorial donations be sent to Thornwell, 302 South Broad Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
