Clifford Owen Bailey, age 82

Clifford Owen Bailey, age 82 of Forest City, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015.  

A native Rutherford County, he was the son of the late George Logan Bailey & Ruth Mae Hardin Bailey, & widower of the late Clara Mae Bailey.  He owned & operated Bailey’s Exxon on South Broadway in Forest City, was a driver for Southside Auto Sales & was a US Army veteran serving in the Korean War. 

In addition to his parents & wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, Roy Bailey, Jake Bailey, & Pastor Dennis Bailey.

Survivors include his daughter, Tina Bailey of the home; brothers, Junior Bailey of Rutherfordton, Norman Bailey of Boiling Springs, George Bailey of Bostic & sisters, Jean Bailey of Boiling Springs, Barbara Randolph of Shelby, & Pam Thomas of Gaffney, SC.

Funeral services were held in the Morning Star Baptist Church with Pastor Gene Wilson officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.
