Clyde E. Huskey, age 89

Clyde E. Huskey, age 89, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Clyde was born Saturday, September 25, 1931 in Knoxville, TN to the late Charles Luther Huskey and Dee Esther Shelton Huskey.

Clyde served in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served as a Tank Crew Chief in the 6^th Tank Battalion as a part of the 24^th Infantry Division.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Ann Adkins Huskey and two brothers, Robert Huskey and Frank Huskey.

Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Deborah Bailey (Bill) of Stevensville, Maryland, Diana Simmons (James) of Chester, Maryland, and Linda Orin (John) of Mebane, NC; sisters, Nancy Joan Waltz of Texas, Barbara Huskey of Rutherfordton, Carol Sue Holder of Forest City and Brenda Minnich also of Henrietta; two brothers, C.L. Huskey (Delores) of Atlanta, GA and James Huskey (Lillian) of Jacksonville, NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Floyd's Creek Baptist Church, 2004 Chase High Road, Forest City, NC 28043.
