Commie Goode Ballard of Bostic, passed away on February 28, 2018.
She was born on December 10, 1920, in Rutherford County. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Blanche Beachboard Goode.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Rev. Glenn William Ballard, infant son, Glenn Jr., brothers Grady, Carl, Joseph and Ernest Goode, and sister Muriel Cooper.
Left to cherish her memories are daughter Helen Ballard Smith and husband Steve, one grandson and wife, one granddaughter and husband, four great grandchildren, and sister Beatrice Morrison and husband Willie of Forest City and numerous nieces and nephews
Service was held at Race Path Baptist Church. Rev. Randall Cooper and Rev. John Godfrey officiated.
The family wishes to thank Fair Haven Bostic for the exceptional care and love that was shown to her each day. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, 374 Hudlow Rd., Forest City, NC 28043, or Race Path Baptist Church.
Arrangements were entrusted to Eggers Funeral Home of Cliffside.
