Bingo at the VFW
Every Thursday night at 6PM. Refreshments & food are available for purchase. The top prize for the last game is $500. Proceeds from bingo benefit veterans in the surrounding communities. Located on Withrow Road. Forest City.

Start-Over Household Shower
For tornado victims, Ken and Tisha Boyd Farris, and their children. Sun. July 10, 2-4pm at Whitehouse Community Center; 5408 Painters Gap Road, Union Mills. This family lost EVERYTHING in the tornado in Joplin, Missouri. The family is originally from the Whitehouse community. (Tisha is the daughter of Ray (deceased) and Betty Boyd of Whitehouse). This shower, sponsored by the Whitehouse Community Club, will provide a “Money Well” for donations, or donations may be sent to the family at 4482 Bills Creek Road, Union Mills, NC 28167.
