Health Fair

Fri. April 21, 2-5pm at the Gilkey School Community Center. This is open to all at no cost if you need assistance with any form of health care come and check with us. We hope that we will have about 21 different agency from all form of health screening to medical assistance. 217 Gilkey School Rd., Rutherfordton.

Betsy Ross 4H Earth Day Party at Kid Senses Interactive Museum on Sat. April 22. First 20 kids registered are free, ages 5-10 only. Bike and Hot Rod Cruise-In

Hardee's of Forest City and WNC Bikers will be sponsoring a Bike and Hot Rod Cruise-In on Sat. April 22, 5pm-8pm at Hardee's on Broadway in Forest City. All proceeds will benefit the Grace of God Rescue Mission in Forest City.

Poor Man's Supper

Paws of Rutherford County

Low cost spay and neuter transport, Tues. April 25. Cats are only $25 and any size dogs are $35 if they have a current rabies vaccination. If they do not, there will be an additional $10 charge. Please call 888-422-7303 and a volunteer will return your call. If you would like to help pay for a spay or neuter for those who can not afford the low cost price, please go to our web site: PawsofRC.org. Paws are in need of cat food for our food bank and has placed a bin in Tractor Supply in Spindale for donations. Thank you for your continued support.

Rutherfordton Lions Club

13th Annual Golf Tournament, Wed. May 3 at Meadow Golf Course. Proceeds support the Rutherfordton Lions Club, a non-profit 501 (c) (4) organization that provides services and help to those who have needs in Rutherford County. 828-287-2308.

Offering Therapy Dog Training classes starting Wed. April 26, 10:30am at the Carolina Event and Conference Center; 372 Hudlow Road, Forest City. The class last 7 weeks, and cost $50. The Second Harvest Mobile Food Truck for Thurs. April 27 has been cancelled! Call 828-247-0096 if you have questions. Walk for Life

Hands of Hope for Life is a 501C-3 non-profit Christian Pregnancy Care Ministry for Rutherford and Polk Counties. 24th Annual Walk for Life, Sat. April 29, 10am. Registration 9am at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Forest City. Food, games, face-painting, door prizes, and music from 11am-1pm. Come and join us for a great time and take a stand for LIFE!!!

Ride for the Kids Scavenger, to Benefit the NC Baptist Children's Homes (22 homes total). Sat. April 29, 2017. Begins and ends at Cornerstone Fellowship; 1186 Hudlow Rd., Forest City.
