DAV, Chapter #25

Welcomes all veterans to attend our monthly meetings held the 2nd Monday of each month at the National Guard Armory on Withrow Road, Forest City. Potluck Dinner is provided at 6pm, followed by the meeting at 7pm. 828-288-1595.

GWRRA NC CHAPTER NC P-2

Meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at The Shak in Forest City, eat at 6:30pm, meet at 7:30pm. Anyone interested in motorcycles is welcome, no matter the brand. Contact Charlie Cook 828-248-2754.

Grahamtown Community Center

Chase Corner Ministries Thrift Store

Every Friday, 8:30am-2:30pm. All clothing - Men's, Women's, Plus size, Children's .50¢ each. Newly stocked. All proceeds go back into the ministry of helping local families in need! 1604 Chase High Rd., Forest City.

Rutherford Guardian ad Litem is looking for individuals who have a heart for children and want to be a voice for abused and neglected children in foster care. New training classes begin May 22nd. Washburn Community Outreach Center Thrift Store

Cross Roads 5K and Kids Fun Run

Sat. May 6, 2017. 5K Run/Walk - 8am ½ Mile. Kid's Fun Run - 9am. The race will begin on the campus of Gardner-Webb University. Register online at RubyCHuntYMCA.org or at any Cleveland County Family YMCA branch.

Second Harvest Mobile Food Truck: Tues. May 9, 10am at Harmon Street Baptist; 398 Harmon St., Forest City. First come, first serve to those who qualify.

Open Wed. thru Sat., 10am-4pm. Proceeds benefit the Rutherford County Humane Society, a no-kill, non-profit 501(C)(3) animal rescue organization.
