Pet Festival: PAWS of Rutherford County will host their 1st Annual PAWS Pet Fest, Sat. Aug. 26, 10am-2pm at Morse Park; 2948 Memorial Highway, Lake Lure. Families and pets are invited to attend the many fun filled activities planned throughout the day. Pet adoptions will be available. For everyone's safety and comfort, all pets should be properly leashed or contained and up-to-date on all vaccinations. PAWS will provide water, treats, doggie play pools, and a large shaded tent, but owners must bring clean-up bags for their pets. PAWS is a 501(c)3 organization.
