Sons of Confederate Veterans

The Polk Volunteers Camp # 919 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans invites you to meet on the 1st Tuesday of each month, and we love to have visitors. Support Group

Helping to Conquer Breast Cancer

Teen Talking Circle

A process and support group for girls 12 and up. Topics: developing self-confidence, understanding relationship boundaries, dealing with conflict and self-care for teenagers. Benefits: improved social skills, learn new ways to cope, find out you aren't alone, gain a broader perspective of your issues, understand what makes your problems worse. Cruise-Inn

Sat. Oct. 29, 10am-2pm at McCurry Deck Motors Forest City. Food and Drinks available, No registration fees, No judging. We will be giving away Door Prizes and having a 50/50 drawing. The Friends of the Mountains Branch Library will host their 3rd Annual Chili Cook-Off, Sat. Oct. 29, 12pm-2pm, at the Temple of Jesus Fellowship Hall; 6750 US 64 74A, Lake Lure. Prizes awarded for the top three entries, 50/50 Raffle and Halloween treats for all kids in costume. Benefit Ride
