Arts and Crafts Festival

Sat. & Sun., Oct. 17-18, 9am-7pm. Hickory Nut Gorge Outreach Presents the Lake Lure Arts and Crafts Festival held in downtown Lake Lure, NC across from the beach in the Arcade Plaza. This festival celebrates the rich tradition of hand-made, Appalachian arts and crafts and feature over 100 artists and crafters who personally exhibit and sell their hand-made works to the public at this event.

1920s Exhibit

Sat. Oct. 10, 11am-1pm at Rutherford County Library. Come experience a little of life in the 1920s and the Prohibition Era at our exhibit. We will have authentic 1920s memorabilia, music, and fact sheets...and maybe even a little trivia. We will also have a confiscated Still (modern day) on display. 255 Callahan Koon Rd., Spindale.

Celebrate Central!

Drama

Mon. Oct. 12 at the Foundation. More than a play, Defamation is a unique opportunity for our community to engage in civil discourse about the most pressing social issues of our day. Defamation is a riveting courtroom drama that explores the highly charged issues of race, religion, gender and class in the law with a twist: you, the audience, are the jury.

Paws of RC

Come out and support our fundraisers at Sweet Frogs on the third Thursday of every month. Thurs. Oct. 15, 5-9pm. 20% of all sales will go to help the pets of RC. The proceeds will go towards our food bank, foster dogs and our Low Cost Spay and Neuter program.

Casar Halloween Bash

Celebrate Recovery

Is a recovery program based on principles from the 8 Beatitudes in Christ's Sermon on the Mount. It is where people can safely work together in helping those dealing with all types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits. Rutherford County Humane Society Thrift Shop

Open Wed. thru Sat., 10am-4pm. New items arriving weekly! Proceeds benefit the Rutherford County Humane Society, a no-kill, non-profit 501(C)(3) animal rescue organization.
