Sons of Confederate Veterans

The Polk Volunteers Camp # 919 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans invites you to meet on the first Tuesday of each month, and we love to have visitors. Hospice of Rutherford County

19th Annual Festival of Trees, Thurs. Dec. 10, 6pm. The special event gives people and end-of-year opportunity to support patient care and a perfect way to honor or memorialize loved ones during the holidays with a beautiful hand crafted and realistic dogwood leaf that symbolizes new beginnings.

Annual Christmas Walk

Features Homes in Riverbend, Apple Valley and Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure will be sharing their beautiful homes and fantastic views with the public for the annual Fairfield Mountains Chapel Women of the Church Christmas Walk on Sat. Dec. 12, 9am-1pm. There will be a van to shuttle back and forth those who prefer not to drive themselves. Celebrate Recovery

A recovery program based on principles from the 8 Beatitudes in Christ's Sermon on the Mount. It is where people can safely work together in helping those dealing with all types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits. Female Teen Domestic Violence Ed/Support Group will meet w/Dr. Johnnie Martin, every Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30pm. Rutherford County Humane Society Thrift Shop

Open Wed. thru Sat., 10am-4pm. Come enjoy the holidays with us. Gift certificates are available! Proceeds benefit the Rutherford County Humane Society, a no-kill, non-profit 501(C)(3) animal rescue organization. Come out and support our fundraisers at Sweet Frogs on the 3rd Thursday of every month, 5-9pm. 20% of all sales will go to help the pets of RC. Proceeds go towards our food bank, foster dogs and Low Cost Spay and Neuter program.
