Sons of Confederate Veterans
The Polk Volunteers Camp # 919 of the Sons of Confederate Veterans invites you to meet on the first Tuesday of each month, and we love to have visitors. 19th Annual Festival of Trees, Thurs. Dec. 10, 6pm. The special event gives people and end-of-year opportunity to support patient care and a perfect way to honor or memorialize loved ones during the holidays with a beautiful hand crafted and realistic dogwood leaf that symbolizes new beginnings.
Annual Christmas Walk
Features Homes in Riverbend, Apple Valley and Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure will be sharing their beautiful homes and fantastic views with the public for the annual Fairfield Mountains Chapel Women of the Church Christmas Walk on Sat. Dec. 12, 9am-1pm. There will be a van to shuttle back and forth those who prefer not to drive themselves. Celebrate Recovery
A recovery program based on principles from the 8 Beatitudes in Christ's Sermon on the Mount. It is where people can safely work together in helping those dealing with all types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits.
