Church St. Operation Medicine Drop is a prescription drug take-back event that allows residents to turn in their unused/expired prescription and over the counter medications. Proper disposal of unwanted medications helps prevent accidental poisonings, drug abuse, and groundwater contamination.

Hands of Hope for Life
18th Annual Walk for Life Sat. April 16. Registration begins at 8am and the Walk begins at 9am. There will be (3) walk sites this year: (1) Crestview Park in Rutherfordton, (2) Corinth Baptist Church in Ellenboro, and (3) Lake Lure Marina at the gazebo. It’s a 2-mile walk around all three sites. All proceeds will go directly to “Hands of Hope for Life” so they can continue to help the women and babies of Rutherford and Polk County.
