Easter Egg Drop

Gilkey School Community Center will have a Easter Egg Drop at the Gilkey School Community on Sat. April 4, 2pm for all kids ages 12 and under. Refreshments served (Hot Dogs/Chips & Cookies) prizes for the one that finds the Golding Eggs. The Easter Bunny may show up!

Camp Fundraiser

Hundreds of children need financial assistance to attend South Mountain Christian Camp each year, and this is an easy way to help raise funds to meet that need. Eat at Zaxby’s in Forest City on Tues., March 31, 5-8pm and 10% of all sales made during this time will be donated to SMCC. Celebrate Recovery 

Is a recovery program based on principles from the 8 Beatitudes in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount. It is where people can safely work together in helping those dealing with all types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits. 60th Annual Easter Sunrise Service

Chimney Rock, Sun. April 5; gate opens 5am-6am for 6:30am service.
 Celebrate the glory of Easter with song, scripture and spiritual music as a spectacular sunrise ascends over Lake Lure. Guests are invited to eat breakfast at the Old Rock Café and stay to enjoy the Park all day. Free admission for entry to Sunrise Service.

 

Rutherford County Humane Society Thrift Shop

Open Fri. & Sat., 10am-4pm. Proceeds benefit the Rutherford County Humane Society, a no-kill, non-profit 501(C)(3) animal rescue organization. We accept donations of food and bedding supplies for dogs/cats waiting to be adopted. Donations are tax deductible. 828-625-1042. 305 Buffalo Creek Rd., Lake Lure.
