GWRRA NC Chapter NC-P-2

An exhibit and program sponsored by the African American Heritage Museum of Rutherford County. Fri. March 6, 10am-3pm & Sat. March 7, 12pm. Guest speaker: author, scholar, and professional librarian J. Timothy Cole. Cole has written books and articles on places, people, and events in Rutherford County. Free to the public.

Crime Stoppers of Rutherford County: Program established for the purpose of obtaining info about criminal activity & fugitive felons. Have information about a crime? Report is anonymously. You do not have to reveal your name. Your info could get you a cash reward. Crime Stoppers, 828-286-8477.

 

Domestic Violence Education/Support Group

Celebrate Recovery 

Is a recovery program based on principles from the 8 Beatitudes in Christ’s Sermon on the Mount. It is where people can safely work together in helping those dealing with all types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits. Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday at 6pm, Mountain Creek Baptist Church, 710 Mountain Creek Rd, Rutherfordton. 828-287-7159.

 

Rutherford County Humane Society Thrift Shop

Open Fri. & Sat., 10am-4pm. Proceeds benefit the Rutherford County Humane Society, a no-kill, non-profit 501(C)(3) animal rescue organization. We accept donations of food and bedding supplies for dogs/cats waiting to be adopted. Donations are tax deductible. 828-625-1042. 305 Buffalo Creek Rd., Lake Lure.
