WOVE 104.1 LP FM: will host a public meeting, Sat. May 2, 10am at the Old Dunbar Community Center; 421 Hardin Rd., Forest City. The purpose of this meeting is to provide and update on the progress of the station and to answer questions. We will also discuss the benefits the station can bring to residents, nonprofit organization and other agencies, churches and small businesses. Rutherfordton Lions Club

11th Annual Golf Tournament, Wed. May 6 at Meadowbrook Golf Course. All proceeds are used to support the club, which provides services to those who have needs in Rutherford County. Non-profit 501 (c)(4) organization. Info: 828-287-2308.

Celebrate Recovery

Is a recovery program based on principles from the 8 Beatitudes in Christ's Sermon on the Mount. It is where people can safely work together in helping those dealing with all types of hurts, hang-ups, or habits.
