Fundraiser
Sat. June 1, 12pm until @ Moose Lodge, Forest City for Jimmy Smith who has cancer. Proceeds help family with medical bills, they have no insurance. Food, music & a raffle. Jimmy’s grandson Daniel Foster will start off with a tribute to Elvis. If they are any musicians out there who know Jimmy, come out and jam with us. Free admission, donations only.

Jamming in the Kitchen
It’s berry time, let’s make jam! Making and preserving your own jam or jellies is easy. The Polk County Cooperative Extension will be offering a class on June 6th. Enjoy learning the art of making good jams and jellies. The latest in preserving food and food safety will be covered. Two Class opportunities, 2pm or 6pm. Cost is $15. Support Group - 3rd Tuesday of Every Month
If you are caring for a loved one with a debilitating disease we offer resources, education, and support on your journey. Come spend an hour and relax, learn, and make friends with caregivers in the same situation. Domestic Violence Education/Support Group
Women who are victims of domestic abuse, or who never want to become victims, are invited to a free Domestic Violence Education/Support Group which meets 2 hours each week on Tuesdays.  Contact Dr. Johnnie Martin @828-286-9590 or Sally Claroni @ 828-245-1390, Ext. 104 for times and location.  Great information, interesting activities, and a caring, supportive environment.
