World Ranger Day

Fri. July 31, 2015.
Description: World Ranger Day commemorates rangers who have been injured or killed in the line of duty and celebrates the work rangers do to protect our resources. In honor of rangers worldwide, we're offering special programs and activities all day. Kids will have the opportunity take part in Junior Ranger activities, and we'll be showing The Thin Green Line throughout the day.

Mountains Branch Library: presents Brightstar Children's Theatre, Captain Friendship and the Bully Bandit- Thurs. August 6, 2pm. This super hero themed show offers young audiences the opportunity to stand up to a bullying bandit, empowering themselves in the process.

American Tales & Tunes

Thurs. Aug. 6, 5pm. Folk songs and folktales from across America come to life in this musical-filled adventure from Shenandoah to Shady Grove. You'll be toe-tapping along with these timeless songs. Both performances will take place in the Mountains Library Community Room. These family programs are free and suitable for all ages.
