Relay for Life Book Sale 
We just added some brand new books and refreshed our used book section. We also have DVD’s and some books on tape. Hardbacks are $2 and paperbacks are $1. All proceeds benefit the Rutherford County Relay for Life. The sale will continue throughout the summer or until the books are sold. Held at Rutherford EMC; 186 Hudlow Rd., Forest City. Mon.-Fri., 8am-5pm.

Mental Illness Support Group
Holland House is a not-for-profit consumer-run Drop-In Center for adults with mental illnesses. It is a place for adults to meet and talk with their peers, obtain community resource information, to hang-out when other services are not open and to be among people who share similar experiences. A 15-week series developed by NC Cooperative Extension to help people reduce their risk of chronic illness. Community Awareness Connection Event 
Sat. Sept. 8, 10am-1pm at the Forest City Housing Recreation Park; 147 East Spruce St. Forest City. Free Course Offers Help for Families of Mentally Ill
The National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI Rutherford-Cleveland is offering a FREE 6-week family education course called Family-to-Family. The six (5 hour) classes are once a week & begin on Sun.
