Family Resources, Inc. Executive Director Sherry Bright was named the Citizen of the Year Tuesday during the annual Thanksgiving Service at the First Baptist Church in Forest City. Shown here with pastor, Dr. Garin Hill, Bright, has been at the helm of Family Resources, Inc. for 25 years. She also serves as Chairman of the Rutherford County Schools Board of Education, serves on the Community Health Board and Task Force. Garin thanked Bright for her role in making the Town of Forest City a good place to live and enhancing the lives of people. He also thanked the town staff, firefighters, police officers and first responders for making "the town what it is today". Rev. Kitty Thompkins, pastor of First Presbyterian in Forest City, presented the homily.
