Connie Proctor Ruppe

Connie Proctor Ruppe of Rutherfordton, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016.

Connie was the daughter of the late Lee Proctor, Sr. and Cordelia Proctor. She was born on October 21, 1928 and grew up in Forest City. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, W. M. (Dub) Ruppe and eight siblings. Connie worked 33 years in the banking business. She was dedicated to her family and her church. She was the happiest in life when she was baking her cakes, or doing kind deeds for others.

Survivors include her children, Abigail Morrow and husband Bruce, Revonda Hicks, Barry W. Ruppe and wife Vicki all of Rutherford County. She is also survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, her best friend and sister in law, Opal Cole, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held at Kistlers Chapel United Methodist Church in the Shiloh Community with Reverend Marvin Green, Reverend Chris Fox, Reverend Dr. Bobby Gantt and Reverend Julie O'Neal officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
