Cora Lee Baynard, age 70

Cora Lee Baynard, age 70, of Augusta, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015.

Born January 24, 1944 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Barney Teseniar and Dolly McKinney Teseniar. Cora was a member of the Sherwood Baptist Church and served as the Nursery Director for many years. She enjoyed bowling, yard work and gardening.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, Sammy G. Baynard; daughter, Deborah Royal and husband, Mike of Augusta; two sons, Richard Baynard and wife, Teresa of Forest City and James Eric Baynard of Freeport, Florida; one brother, Bruce Tessinear and wife, Joana of Henrietta; three sisters, Patsy Lowery and husband, Johnny of Dobbinsville, Barbara Parker and husband, Reid of Henrietta and Judy Bradley of Forest City. She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Henrietta First Baptist Church with Reverend Trent Keeton officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
