Cornelio Perez Mendoza, age 57, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014.
Born September 6, 1956 in Apaseo El Grande, Guanajuato, Mexico, he was a son of the late Jose` Carmen Mendoza & Maria Concepcion Perez de Mendoza who resides in Mexico. He worked in construction most of his life. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and loved his family dearly.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Margarito Mendoza-Perez.
Besides his mother, survivors include his wife of 32 years, Gloria Alicia Gomez Ruiz Mendoza; daughter, Beatriz Mendoza-Gomez; 2 sons, Juan Manuel Mendoza-Gomez & wife, Mayra de Mendoza & Luis Alberto Mendoza-Gomez; 2 grandchildren, Laura Giovanna Mendoza Ramirez & Montserrat Mendoza Ramirez all of Mexico; 4 brothers, Abel Mendoza-Perez & wife, Carmela, Gerardo Mendoza-Perez & wife, Esther, Salomon Mendoza-Perez & wife, Roselia & Federico Mendoza-Perez & wife, Juana; sister, Catalina Mendoza-Perez & husband, Alberto Montano & sister-in-law, Ponciana de Mendoza. He is survived by many nieces & nephews, which includes his niece Concepcion Mendoza.
A Mass of Christian Burial was conducted at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Reverend Father Herbert Burke & Reverend Deacon Andy Cilone officiating. Interment took place in his hometown in Mexico.
