Cynthia McBrayer "Cindy" Campbell, age 59 of Forest City passed away Monday, September 19, 2016.

Cindy was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 10, 1956 to her parents the late Reuben Blanton McBrayer, Jr. and Minnie Lee Hester McBrayer. Cindy was a graduate of East Rutherford High School Class of 1974. She worked as a Teacher's assistant at the Forest City Elementary School where she retired. She was also a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Forest City where she taught Sunday school and volunteered as a Mission Friends teacher. The most important thing in her life was being a wife, mother and Nana.

Survivors include her husband, Daniel Campbell, Sr., three sons, Dan Campbell, Jr. and wife Naomi of Bostic, David Campbell and wife Angie of Chapin, SC, Derrick Campbell and wife Jennifer of Forest City, two daughters Dana Beaumont and husband Nat of Forest City, and Deedra Campbell and boyfriend Calley Hudson of Ellenboro, two brothers, Mackey McBrayer and wife Jane of Forest City, Tim McBrayer and wife Dee of Rutherfordton, two sisters, Gail Strickland and husband Doug of Ellenboro, and Rebecca Greene of Forest City and 19 grandchildren.

The funeral was held at The First Baptist Church of Forest City with Reverend Dr. Garin Hill, Reverend Tony Spencer and Reverend Dr. Barry K. Keys. Interment followed at the Cool Springs Cemetery. The family respectfully request that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, 211 West Main Street, Forest City, NC 28043 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater NC Chapter, 3101 Industrial Drive, Suite 210, Raleigh, NC 27609
