David Holloway White, age 73, of Mooresboro, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017.

Born April 10, 1944 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late Gifton Holloway White and Mary Cornelia Clardy White. David was member of Temple Baptist Church in Mooresboro.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 51 years, Helen Simpson White; three children, Alan Holoway White and wife Amy, Lisa White Baynard and husband Eric, Sheila White Atkins and husband Brandon; brothers-in-law, George Haynes, Red Simpson and wife Jeanette; sisters-in-law, Ann Padgett and Mitch Owens, Darlene Padgett, and Judy Simpson. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; special family members, Tina White, Tracy Webb; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was conducted at Temple Baptist Church with Rev Scott Butler, Rev Sam Henderson, Rev John Godfrey and Rev Jesse Hardin officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with military honors provided by Rutherford County Honor Guard.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at DCI in Boiling Springs, NC for their exceptional care of David over the last 9 years and the 4 West nursing staff at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
