David James "Paw" Cole, age 70

David James "Paw" Cole, age 70, of Forest City, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.

Born May 23, 1947 in Rutherford County, he was a son to the late James Dillard Cole and Mary Carver Cole. David worked as a mechanic of Sports Center in Forest City and Shytle's Used Cars for over thirty years. He also worked as a tire changer and tree trimmer for several years. Among his many interests was four-wheeling.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of forty-five years, Marie Davis Cole; two sons, Anthony Bright Cole of Forest City and Kelly Cole and wife, Ashley of Sandy Mush; three daughters, Lisa Cole Leverette and husband, Alfred II of Caroleen, Leslie Coley Stacey of Golden Valley and Stacie Cole of Forest City. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Harrelson Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
