Debbie Padgett, age 49

Debbie Padgett, age 49, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Friday, September 20, 2013. 

     Debbie was born May 6, 1964 in Rutherford County, NC to Howard Dobbins of Spindale and the late Merle Daves Dobbins. She was a graduate of R-S Central, class of 1982 and of Isothermal Community College. She worked in textiles and as a CNA and was also a homemaker. Debbie enjoyed scrapbooking, arranging flowers, taking care of dog, Buddy and was active as a band parent. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. 

     In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her father in-law, Julian Padgett and Granny, Annie Dobbins. 

 Besides her father, survivors include her husband of twenty-four years, Joseph Padgett; two sons, Jonathan Padgett of Spindale and Justin Padgett of the home; two daughters, Julie Nicholson and husband, David of Mooresville, NC and Jessica Padgett of Spindale; brother, Jeff Dobbins and wife, Fay of Spindale; sister Tammy Hodge and husband, Ronnie of Rutherfordton; mother-in-law, Frances Padgett also of Rutherfordton. 

     Funeral services were held at Wilson Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
