Dennis Larry Loftis, age 77

Dennis Larry Loftis, age 77, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019.

Dennis was born May 18, 1942 in Drayton, SC to the late Dennis J. Loftis and Ruby Godfrey Loftis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served honorably during the Vietnam War. Dennis worked for Kohler Industries, Dan River Mill and Stonecutter Mill before retirement. He was known for his sense of humor, working in his workshop and gardening. Dennis also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, David Loftis, Ricky Loftis and a sister, Linda Loftis.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of fifty-years, Dorothy Loftis; two brothers, Mike Loftis of Shelby and Ronnie Loftis (Judy) of Boiling Springs, SC and half-sister, Tina Fowler of Gaffney. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, who includes Lori Bradley (Thomas) of Forest City and two pet dogs, Raven and Scarlett.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
