Another Famous North Carolinian... Matthew Settle Actor

He was born September 17, 1969 in Hickory, N. C. the youngest of two girls and four boys. In 1983 his father, a Baptist preacher, and mother, a church organist, relocated the family to Sevierville, Tennessee. He became active in 1996. He married Naama Nativ in 2006. Jeffrey Matthew Settle is best known for playing Captain Ronald Speirs on the HBO show “Band of Brothers” and that of Rufus Humphrey on “Gossip Girl”. Settle made his broadway debut in a limited engagement in “Chicago: The Musical”. He also did guest appearances on “Law and Order”. Settle revealed that at age 37 he had eloped to marry Israeli Jewish actress/model Naama Nativ. He started in music at the age of 19 and found out that was not for him. It took him 10 years to finally find his way. He is not in demand as an actor.
