Donald Grady Morrison Jr., 48

Donald Grady Morrison Jr., 48, of Union Mills passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of Rev. Donald and Catherine Walker Morrison. He was a farmer and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. Don was a member of the NC Cattlemen's Association and the Rutherford County Cattlemen's Association, having served on the Board of Directors in 2014.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters Luanne Wellborn (Michael Wellborn) of Rutherfordton and Lori Jones (Charlie Ruff) of Shelby; three nieces, Crystal Holbert (Chad Holbert), Amy McFadden (James McFadden) and Rachel Stevens (Sam Morgan); one nephew Dylan Morrison; great niece Jayden Wingo; great nephews Ty Holbert and Hayden McFadden. He was preceded in death by his brother Stan Burgess Morrison.

Funeral services were held at Pisgah United Methodist Church, Union Mills with Rev. David Duncan and Rev. Mike Haire officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established to honor Don's memory and his love for farming. Contributions may be made to Donald and Catherine Morrison, 190 Tobacco Road, Union Mills, NC 28167.
