Donna Cash Greene, age 80 of Forest City passed away Friday, January 26, 2018.

Donna was born November 24, 1937 and was a daughter of the late Zephy Lloyd and Plumer Smith Cash. She worked for Cone Mills at both Cliffside Plants where she retired after many years employment. Donna was a graduate of R-S Central High School, a member of Riverside Baptist Church. She also loved gardening and working in her flowers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Scott Mashburn, and a brother, Milton Lloyd Cash.

Survivors include her husband, Hal M. Greene, two daughters, Paula Board and husband Michael of Harrisburg, Lisa Greene of Rutherfordton, a brother, Michael Cash and wife Jackie of Hastings NB, three sisters, Maxine Miller of Rutherfordton, Sarah Searcy and husband Bobby Joe of Union Mills and Bonnie Monteith of Gilkey. There are seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Riverside Baptist Church. Rev. Ted Blankinship officiated. Interment followed at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Riverside Baptist Church, PO Box 54, Harris, NC 28074 or Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
