Dorothy “Jo” Dixon, age 71

Dorothy “Jo” Dixon, age 71, of Spartanburg, SC passed away, March 19, 2015. 

Dorothy was the daughter of the late Rev. Furman and Vivian McIntyre.  She was a retired music director for the North Spartanburg Church of God.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Wesley Dixon; Three daughters Darlene McEntire of Rutherfordton, NC; Pamela Rumbaugh of Rutherfordton, NC; and Penny Butler of Anchorage, Alaska; Seven grandchildren Jessica Johnson, Jennifer Blanton, Andrew Rumbaugh, Mary Butler, Kyle Rumbaugh, Taylor Butler, and Jodi McEntire; Two great grandchildren; Three step children Gwen Thrift of Spartanburg, SC; Mike Dixon of Spartanburg, SC; and Greg Dixon of Spartanburg, SC; Ten step grandchildren; Two step great grandchildren;

Services were held at Gilkey Church of God. Burial took place in the church cemetery.  Rev. Larry Filppo and Rev. Chris Kennedy officiated. 

Crowe’s Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family.
