Dorothy Marie Bapties Barron, 81

Dorothy Marie Bapties Barron, 81, of Forest City passed away June 1, 2012. 

A native of White Bluff, TN, she was the daughter of the late John and Estelle Vivian Hatley Bapties. She was a retired waitress and a member of Alexander Missionary Methodist Church. Prior to moving to Rutherford County she lived in Sauk Village, Illinois.
 

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Monteith of Forest City and Cheryl Noffkee of Michigan; two sons, William Brooks of Bostic and Wayne Brooks of Rutherfordton; stepdaughter Lasandra Lee of Illinois; three brothers, Paul Bapties of Texas, John Bapties of Colorado, and Kenneth Bapties of Indiana; sister Audrey Wilson of Kentucky; 24 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband Hugh Brooks and second husband Leonard Barron.
  

A Memorial Service was held at Alexander Missionary Methodist Church with Rev. Howard Hardin and Rev. Michael Ruff officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alexander Missionary Methodist Church 170 East Melissa Lane Forest City, NC 28043.
