Douglas Edward Evans, 60

Douglas Edward Evans, 60, of Ellenboro, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. 

A native of Rutherford County, he was born on December 31, 1951, a son of the late Thurman Edward Evans and he is survived by his mother Hazel Mae Ayers of Sandy Mush. He was the owner and operator of Evans Body Shop of Ellenboro. He was a member of Concord Baptist Church of Bostic.

He is survived by his daughters, Lorie Evans Toney of Ellenboro and Savannah Grace Evans of the home; two brothers, Dennis Evans of Bostic and Dean Blanton, of Bostic; five sisters, Diane Nalley of Ellenboro, Corliss Davis of the home, Cathy Bennett of Forest City, Brenda Ramsey of Ellenboro, and Tammy McIntire of Forest City; two grandchildren, Hunter Toney of Ellenboro and Abigail Toney of Ellenboro.

Funeral services were held at Concord Baptist Church. Burial followed at Concord Baptist Church cemetery.
