Earl Clarence Arrowood, 91

Earl Clarence Arrowood, 91, of Union Mills, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019.

A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Samuel Clarence and Lula Minniebelle Melton Arrowood. Earl was a retired construction foreman and enjoyed playing and singing bluegrass music. Earl was a US Navy veteran of WWII.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Karen Gibbs and Joan (Johnny) Dowdle of Union Mills and Earleen (Joel) Aderhold of Loganville, GA; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Holland of Kinston, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florree Rumfelt Arrowood, and siblings, Mason Arrowood, Sylvia Parton, Chalmer Arrowood, Hoyle Arrowood, Lucille Rollins, Reba Pruitt, C.B. Arrowood and Velvie Frady.

Funeral services were held at Crowe's Chapel. The Rutherford County Honor Guard provided military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Crowe's Mortuary and Crematory is serving the family.
