Edgar Martin Stone, age 89

Edgar Martin Stone, age 89, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2012. 

Born in Johnson County, MO, he was the son of the late Edgar Fleming and Ellen Salyer Stone. Edgar was a US Army paratrooper, serving in WWII and was a retired boilermaker/welder for the US Government for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his daughter Lee A. Harper and husband Regan of Union Mills, NC; granddaughter Stephanie Marie Blanton and husband John of Forest City; three great granddaughters, Amber, Alexis and Alaina Blanton of Forest City; and niece Sharie Andersen of New York City. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Pearl Cummins Stone.

Graveside services were held in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, MO.
