Edna Hutchins Bright, age 76

Edna Hutchins Bright, age 76 of Forest City passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2014.  

She was born July 4, 1938 in Rutherford County & was a daughter of the late Thomas & Hattie Causby Hutchins.  Edna worked for many years as a Lab Supervisor for the former Fieldcrest Cannon Company and later worked as a wedding consultant and director where she enjoyed directing many weddings.  She was also a member of Bethany Baptist Church where she was active in mission work. 

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Bob Bright, a son, Robby Bright & wife Dana of Forest City, a daughter, Donna Bright Elliott & husband Mark also of Forest City, a brother, Ray Hutchins of Rutherfordton, 2 sisters, Betty Jo Smith Vickers of Spindale & Mildred McCraw Broome of Rutherfordton. There are also 4 grandchildren, Maggie, Bo, Jake, Riley, & Hank.

Funeral services were held in the Bethany Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Fox & Reverend Marvin Green officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.
