Edward Hicks Ward

Edward Hicks Ward of the Oakland Community passed away November 27, 2012. 

Hicks was retired from Burlington Industries, and an active member of Adaville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy “Dot” Cook Ward and his three children: Cathy Therrell and her husband Charles; Steve Ward and his wife Carol and Jean Fletcher and husband Robert; grandchildren Ben Fletcher, Emily Byers and husband Scott, John Ward, Eleanor Ferrier and husband Andrew, Jill Beaver and husband Brent, Betsy Friedrich and husband Stephen; sister Hazel Harris. He also leaves behind his dog Trooper. Hicks, was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Services were held at Adaville Baptist Church with Rev Cal Sayles officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County or Adaville Baptist Church.
