Effie Lee Daggerhart Humphries, 93, of Ferry Road, Mooresboro, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2012. 

A native of Cleveland County, she was born on November 28, 1918, a daughter of the late Charley Edgar and Ada Lee McEntyre Daggerhart. She was retired from the textile industry and a member of Greenhill Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Gather Gale Humphries; two sons, Jimmy Lee and Gerald Oren Humphries; three brothers, Herman, Lawrence, Bynum Daggerhart; six sisters, Ethel Roper, Tilly Parris, Cecil West, Vernice Daggerhart, Vevacee Upton, Virginia Surrat. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Short of Mooresboro; two sons, Donald Gene Humphries and wife Ann and Kenneth Hugh Humphries and wife Elizabeth, both of Spartanburg; twenty-seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchilden.

Funeral services were held at the A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Turner and Rev. Rich Woffard officiating. Burial followed at Heritage Memorial Gardens, 3901 South Church St. Ext., Roebuck, SC 29376.

Memorials may be made to a Hospice of the donors choice.
