Eleanor Louise Wood Pettit, age 83, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011.
A memorial service was held at Word of Faith Fellowship in Spindale.
A native of Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Baxter and Corrine White Wood. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Diane Pettit Farmer and husband Ray of Rutherfordton, NC; son Jeffrey William Baxter Pettit and wife Kathy of Simpsonville, SC; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren, two sisters-in-laws, Joyce Wood of Gaffney, SC and Catherine Pettit of Spartanburg, SC; and one brother-in-law Bob Phillips of Gaffney, SC.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Word of Faith Fellowship Christian School, 207 Old Flynn Road, Spindale, NC 28160.
