Elizabeth “Lib” Patterson Hamrick, 74, loving wife, mother, grandmother, & great grandmother, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014. 

A native of Cleveland County, she was born on May 22, 1940, a daughter of the late Earl & Cynthia Bowman Patterson. She was retired from Hoechst-Celanese as a Lab Analyst after working for 33 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Mooresboro where she was an Assistant Sunday School Teacher, member & treasurer of the Senior Citizens Group &served on various committees.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Carroll Patterson. She is survived by her husband, Joe Hamrick; one son, Tony Hamrick of Shelby; one daughter, Teresa Hamrick of the home; one brother, Jack Dean Patterson & wife JoAnn of Shelby; her grandchildren, Heather Bratton & fiancee Brandon Hoffman, Stephanie Elkout & husband Ayman, Bobby Joe Godfrey & fiancee Christy Campbell, Cameron Joe Hamrick & wife Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Tristen Perry, Jada, Kadin, Zaid, Maddox, Layth, & Zoey Elkout, & Isabella Hoffman.

A Celebration of Mrs. Hamrick’s Life was held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Mooresboro with Rev. Bobby Gettys officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the family.
