Elizabeth Turner, age 79

Elizabeth Turner, age 79, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017.

Liz was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir for 31 years; she was also member of the church friendship circle and was a volunteer at Rutherford Hospital for many years.

She is survived by her husband; Dr. Kenneth Turner. One daughter: Lynn Turner, Brevard. Two sons: Jeff Turner and his wife Jan of Belmont, Greg Turner and his wife Brooke of Rutherfordton. Two Brothers: Phil Hughes, Stevensville, MI & Mike Hughes, Atlanta, GA. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren

The Funeral service was held at First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton with Reverend Dr. Syndor Thompson officiating. Interment was private at Rutherfordton City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church; 264 North Main Street; Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
