Elmer Joe McDaniel, 79

Elmer Joe McDaniel, 79, of Gaffney, SC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 3, 2015.

Born in Avondale, NC, he was the husband of Argentine (Tina) McDaniel for 53 years and son of the late Herbert Max McDaniel and Zora Mae Allison McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel was a veteran and retiree of the U. S. Air Force, was a retired locksmith, and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to travel and was a member of the Air Stream Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a brother, Wilburn (Bill) Yates McDaniel and wife, Linda, of Ellenboro, NC; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray McDaniel and Hugh McDaniel and a sister, Geraldine McDaniel Wall.

Funeral services were held at the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Owen Duncan officiating. Interment held in Frederick Memorial Gardens with military honors.
