Elsie Suttles, age 76

Elsie Suttles, age 76, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020.

Elsie was born July 14, 1943 in Rutherford County to the late Clyde William Keeter and Mary Magdalene Keeter. She worked most her life in textiles. Elsie was a member of Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church and attended Sisk Memorial Missionary Methodist Church. She enjoyed working on puzzles, cooking and caring for children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennie Keeter and Barbara Ann Keeter and a brother, David Junior Keeter.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of thirty-eight years, Ed Suttles; two daughters, Sherry Barrier (Neil) of Forest City and Jennifer Bumgarner (Andy) of Golden Valley; son, William Gene Marcotti (Sheila O'Sullivan) of Greenville County, SC; two brothers, John William Keeter (Mary) of Morganton and Paul Bennie Keeter of Golden Valley; four sisters, Shirley Lancaster (Dan) of Rutherfordton, Ethel Harris of Morganton, Nancy Breck of Morganton, Irene Toney (Roy) of Forest City and a grandson.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Robertson Creek FWB Cemetery.
