Emery Searcy, age 85

Emery Searcy, age 85, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018.

He was the son of the late Willard Searcy and the late Eva Burgess Searcy. Emery was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Taylor Searcy, one brother Hubert Searcy and four sisters; Mildred Williamson, Frances Vetter, Rachel Witchman and Juanita Lowery.

He is survived by: One Sister: Hazel Hardin and husband Aaron of Swannanoa, NC. A special niece Dale Ruff and several other nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Kelly Luckadoo officiated. Interment held at Gilkey United Methodist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at PO Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
