Emily Ledbetter Hyde, age 70

Emily Ledbetter Hyde, age 70, of Shelby, NC, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014.

Born November 15, 1943 in Henrietta, NC, she was the daughter of the late Fred Ledbetter and Louise Honeycutt Ledbetter.  Emily was a homemaker who was devoted to her family. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Renee McDaniel and two brothers, Joel Dean Ledbetter and Ray Hugh Ledbetter.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-two years, Daniel T. Hyde; son, Blake Hyde and wife, Nguyen of Winston-Salem; daughter, Anita McDaniel Greene of Forest City; uncle, Carmel Honeycutt and wife, Mildred of Cliffside; three grandchildren, Brandon Greene, Meagan Wesson and Aaliyah Tran.  She is also survived by two great-grandchildren. 

No formal services will be conducted.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Peacehaven Community Farm, 1458 NC Hwy 61, Whitsett, NC 27377.
