Emma Sue Elliott, age 95, of Rutherfordton, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018
She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Columbus Deck Hensley and the late Ella Camp Hensley. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. She loved to sew, quilt and cook and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Emma was preceded in death by her husband Roy H. Elliott, a son James Elliott, four brothers and 2 sisters.
She is survived by: two sons: Ricky Elliott and wife Libby. Donnie Elliott and wife Regina. Five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The funeral service was held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Rev John Bridges officiated. Interment was held at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills at P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
